This picture-scape opal displays a beautiful array of purples, blues, greens, and hints of pink. The image in the stone suggests a mountain landscape or seascape beneath an aurora borealis sky.

All boulder opals are one-of-a-kind, but this stone’s unusual combination of color and natural patterning make it particularly compelling.

True to Claire Marais’ signature style, the stone is set in a straight-walled, low profile bezel of uniform height resting on a cylindrical band. A sunburst design finishes the underside of the bezel, and a gently hammered finish brings an ancient quality to the modern form.
